Trusting Your Own Direct Experience
Tuesday April 19, 2011
Astrology can be a trap, if we use it to fix in an idea of who we are. In an interview for the movie Return of the Magi in Sedona, Adam Gainsburg talks about the danger of labels (and stereotypes) with astrology. You're using this system to describe something numinous, he says. Numinous is a word used to describe the supernatural, the mysterious, and what is beyond usual comprehension.

You can find this interview on the bio page of his Soulsign site. Gainsburg calls himself a Wayshower of the Soul. He's a pioneer, with astrology one of his tools, and sound, breathwork and vibrational essences all part of it. And, like my man, he plays the didjeridoo!

I especially like this quote, at the end of the interview: "Bring a dose of loving doubt to everything we are told. Not cynically or with loving unconditional acceptance. But just a touch of loving doubt. But radically trust everything, every nuance of your direct experience."
