In the Fast Lane with Mars
Saturday February 5, 2011
Mars is at its most unpredictable in Aquarius through the 24th. This can feel dangerous, because Aquarian pulses are by their nature disruptive to the status quo. Many agree the world needs a good shaking up. But with Aquarius, often we lose our reference point, which can feel like chaos or a free-for-all. And even the most inspiring revolution can devolve into total anarchy, without some kind of organizing principle.
Each of us has an instinct to grow, but are also creatures of habit with an instinct to stabilize what we've created. If we can honor both of these, often playing out in Aquarius' two rulers Saturn (order) and Uranus (chaos of change), we're moving in the right direction. This is a learn-as-you-go experience, of course.
Mars is being revved up by the Sun now, and I've seen some defiance in the usually tame setting of forums online. It's coming from a restless need for more vitality, breaking out of suffocating loops...something FRESH. There's a wave moving through that feels exciting, and revolutionary.
And as I wrote in the weekend Hour Watch, Mars is trine to Saturn, in Aquarius tomorrow (the 5th), to stabilize some of what's emerging as possibilities since the New Moon. Incredible alternatives, to what you've been planning could come up, and seem do-able...with effort. The outline for a future project could flash in your mind.
When we talk of Mars transiting Aquarius, we mean where Mars is moving in its orbit now. Mars is in motion, so it's always changing Zodiac signs. You might also have Mars Aquarius in your birth chart, which is a fixed blueprint that doesn't change. You can find your own Mars Sign to discover your unique way of expressing will power.
