New Moon in Aquarius
Fresh Waters
Molly Hall, About.com

The New Moon is exact -- Sun/Moon conjunction -- at 9:31 pm est (New York), February 2nd, 2011. Find your exact time with the World Clock Converter.

Sacred Vessel of Life

At this New Moon, the Sun and Moon -- the Lights -- are in Aquarius. Its symbol, the Waterbearer, holds a vessel of the eternal flow of life. On many Greek vessels, known as Amphora, circa 520-510 BC, the Great Mother was depicted with the Water of Life and Wisdom to humanity.(1)

At the New Moon, we are deluged with fresh water of life and wisdom. This is freeing, and Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius, keeps each of us, and humanity from stagnating in murky pools, or from where the flow of life has been intentionally dammed up.

The New Moon brings an infusion of these waters, to purify for a FRESH feeling. Frequency watchers like James Gilliland of ECETIare saying there's an intense purification underway, and a raising of the vibration. He says it has to do with the entire solar system's move into a highly energetic point in space. This upgrade is sparking whole countries awake, with the passion for a better life.

It's a shocking transition, but in the end, is meant to keep humanity and Earth moving toward its destiny. In a recent (Feb 1st) update, he writes, "Shifting ones assets into the awakening and healing process, helping others and the environment is the only path left for those who have amassed great wealth at the expense of humanity and the Earth."

Many Different Frequencies

A key to Aquarius is that it's picking up fixed currents that are personal, as well as the vibes of the whole. We get to partake in this when historic events underway are on our minds, while we hold our individual lives together.

In The Complete Book of Spiritual Astrology by Per Henrik Gullfoss , he writes of Aquarius' mission, as one of bringing higher vibes down of conception, to the slower dimension of manifestation. "Their consciousness must learn to handle the pressure from many different frequencies at one time, and if it is not able to do this, to be more or less torn apart."

River Flowing Now Very Fast

The influx of frequencies at this New Moon can make us feel like we're on the cosmic stretching machine. It recalls the Hopi Prophecy, and the call to trust in this as a natural process.

There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.
They will try to hold on to the shore.
They will feel they are being torn apart, and they will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination.

Erratic, Revolutionary Aquarius

With Mars right there, also in Aquarius, there's raw firepower behind whatever drives compel us. It's sure to be super stimulating, with sudden urges to bolt, leap or break free from constraints. The Moon's trine to Saturn (Libra) however, is a stabilizer.

Saturn is the other ruler of Aquarius, and this trine in air signs is a chance to quickly re-order anything, for greater balance. If there's a cry for freedom, Saturn adds dignity to the scene, and raises the possibility that change will be purposeful and civil.

Speedy Manifestation

Other aspects add to the sense of quickening, and the need to be flexible, and light on your feet. There's a lot of force in this New Moon, hinting at a rhythm of being quickly scuttled toward your intention. It's a great time to focus on your highest goals, or clear the way for them to come through (if you're not sure what they are).

Create a New Moon Collage! Get swept up in the excitement of change, while being clear about your visions. Thinking of this time as historic and an adventure reframes it entirely. I like what one of my teachers Dr. Christine Page says about Aquarius, in her book 2012 and the Galactic Center. She writes, "As we stand poised between worlds, it is a time to remember our eternal nature and the fact that we were all probably here on this planet twenty-six thousand years ago, during the last great shift."

She continues, "Each of us is unique; each of us carries a specific part of the jigsaw. It is time to put the final pieces into our own personal puzzle, and together we travel through the wormhole into the heart of the Great Mother and beyond. What a wonderful time to be alive!"

2012 and the Galactic Center
Molly Hall, About.com

This must-have book on 2012 by Christine Page frames the coming alignment, and what we're experiencing Now, as a journey to the Source. It's a return to direct communion with the Divine Feminine. Page offers wisdom about how to encounter this great death and rebirth mystery, and what her sage says, a dissolving of what we've known. The story of this spiraling into the dark is told using the ancient myths of the Moon, and the Zodiac as the Hero's journey. Page encourages us to see this time as a chance to be light bearers of a brand new creative cycle.

Pros

•It speaks to both the heart and mind, as a divinely inspired work.
•The focus on the feminine takes us to the essence of the cyclical aspect of 2012.
•It's a work that honors the feminine as creative force.
•Doesn't overwhelm with technical details about the Mayan calendar.
•She's a "mystic-physician" and honors the messages of the body, also a very feminine perspective.

Cons

•I wish it came with a CD, with meditations (perhaps it's in the works).

Description

•The heart of the Galactic Center is shown as a mirror of the human heart, and the "transformer" to see us through.
•Page writes about the "hidden knowledge" to attain immortality, illustrated with myths of the ancients.
•She covers the sacred sites of the Great Mother, with icons like the Celtic Sheela-na-gig, showing the yoni as portal.
•Page describes the Sacred Marriage of the masculine (focus) and feminine (force), to bring our dreams to fruition.
•There's great info on the lunar cycle, the Moon's nodes, and how they shape our character and destiny.
•She covers the astrological ages, and how it fits in with what's happening today.
•The essence of each Zodiac sign is explored, as a point on the path of evolving consciousness.
•It describes the process of transforming to "build the light body that will transport us to the next level."
•She writes of own experience of meeting other Selves (past lives), as well along with her connection to the "star people."
•From CP: It is time to Remember who you are! You are an amazing immortal, multidimensional being You are a creative genius.

Guide Review - 2012 and the Galactic Center

This book leapt out at me on the store shelf, and I got an undeniable Charge of This is it! I know when that happens, it's the Next Big Thing for my own growth. It's been challenging (in a good way) to read, because it's a real perception alterer. We're invited to see that we're eternal beings at the end of a 26,000 year cycle. As we near 2012, there's a quickening process, with the chance to glean the gems of our eternal Selves. Sounds intense...and yet, it resonates with a deep inner knowing. She writes about unity or Christ consciousness, the rise of the Sacred Feminine, and the fusion of Duality. These give the book a "full circle" feel; that we've been prepared for this moment, as consciousness has changed.

She illustrates this process with stories, we strengthen the Ka, or light body, as Jesus did, and we become immortal. She weaves in threads from alchemy, past lives, astrology, the shamanistic vision of the Mayans and the images of the Great Mother. She has distilled a whole lot of ancient wisdom here, in a way that invites elevation of consciousness in the reading of it.

It begins with Page as a seeker in the desert; a wise sage there invites her to see that we're being drawn closer to the heart of the cosmos. He tells her All dreams and ideas arise from a primal source often described as the Great Mother or ocean of possibilities, and it is to here that our creations will return eventually to fulfill their destiny.

It's an encounter with the Dark Goddess and the death aspect of the cycle. But there's also the promise of growing into who we're meant to be, through conscious creation, healing, and being in the Now. This book inspires the reader to remember and learn from the many Selves across time. It helps to see the End of the World as a dramatic, momentous part of an eternal cycle.
