Thank you GothiKat for this thread. It is especially dear to my heart. Ever since I was a little girl i have 'communed with the dead'. My most recent experience has been that of my good friend Greg, who recently passed away, letting me know that he is ok. He died unexpectedly (although possibly not to himself - the day before he died he told me he felt like he was 'going to die tomorrow' and then did) and only a few days earlier we had been discussing my medium abilities. He puts his hand on my shoulder now whenever I am seeing something important, as if to add his confirmation. He is fond in my heart and will remain so forever.

Sorry for your loss Nuelma Exceptional that your relationship with your friend has continued and crossed the barrier of death though. It sounds like Greg is acting as a guide in your life. Please keep us informed of any other things you notice that indicate his presence. Have you considered trying automatic writing as a way of asking him questions and getting a response?

No, I hadn't thought of automatic writing to communicate with him GothiKat, thanks for jogging my memory on that one. I've mainly been trying to 'talk' to him, but haven't been able to get any response that way. His way of communicating is in apparition and touch so far.

He is still touching me! He is also touching my children. My daughter Kelly told me of 'someone' stroking her hair at night. My daughter Maddy tells me that she hears him walking around behind her. My youngest daughter Melanie hears, sees and feels nothing. The few other occurances from this 'ghost' for me has been him walking up behind me and putting his arms around me and an extrememly distinct occurance two days ago when I was downloading MYOB onto my father's computer to do some data entry for his business and 'Greg' came up and put his hand on my back. It was so distinct and because I was busy concentrating on the computer, I actually turned around expecting one of my daughters to be there wanting something from me, but no one was there. He is trying to pass on messages, I believe they are of support.

I would agree. He doesn't seem to be causing any harm. Just letting you know he is still there.

Actually Automatic writing is a good way to communicate.. I use this method when the spirits around me are hard to hear..as weird as that sounds.lol.
The tricky part for me is relaxing enough to allow the process to more freely.

I believe everyone we love is round us all the time whether we see them fully or not there are so many signs!

I'll have to try that... Mostly my ears itch like crazy when they are trying to talk to me and I can't hear them. It's rather irritating. And there always seems to be a lot around me for some reason. I don't think I even know most of them. Does anyone else have that problem? They don't really bother me to much other than the itchy ears as far as I know. Occationally my bed will shake a little and sometimes I hear very loudly a voice that I think is my husbands but it's not. Just this morning, he was in the shower and I heard a man that sounded like him yelling at our dogs, by name to be quite. Well, "shut up!" and their names was what he said but it was as loud, as if he was standing 10 foot away. I'm sure it wasn't him, I asked. It would be nice to be able to hear them at will, maybe automatic writing will help.

Gracie your experiences are very similar to mine. Often I hear disembodied voices and the ear itching - oh man, does that suck!!! I do get buzzing, ringing telephones, music, distant mumbling, conversations, ear brushing, pulling, like a plugging feeling in them...many many ear sensations! Then there is the chakras above the ears that get activated and it is like hearing through your skull an inch or two above your ears but it is not like conventional hearing - more like deciphering vibrations if that makes sense? I get alot of communication through electronic media - tvs, computers, stereos, radios, even the lights in my house. Lately the emphasis of communication has come through dreams although I have sighted quite a few visiting spirits. Sometimes I get woken by full body aparitions. I also get messages come through animals, body sensations, fleeting impressions (like a mini thirty second or less movie in my mind), clouds and other things in the environment...the world is so much more alive than you could ever imagine.

I had an experience that lasted over six months of a recurrent spirit visiting and speaking out loud so that even my kids and partner at the time could hear her. And the dog would bark at her even though she couldn't be seen! It was more amusing than scary because the voice reminded me so much of Mary Poppins and she even used that as a reference to identify herself. One day I was in a department store and a copy of the dvd of Mary Poppins fell off the shelf in front of me. I put it back and when I got to the checkout, there it was on the shelf amongst the magazines and chocolates as if it had followed me. I went outside and there was a poster of Mary Poppins on a notice board. In the supermarket, another copy of the same dvd fell into my trolley. I might add that the town I was shopping in was the same one the author and creator of the character of Mary Poppins was born and grew up, and I too am a writer at heart.

I find it fascinating sharing all the different inventive ways that spirits can communicate.

I can't hear them at times and have to rely on symbols...it is very frustrating because they have things to say and I am not hearing them but can see them dead on...of course sometimes that can't communicate in words yet or for some reason.
A few weeks ago this lady came to me for a reading and her grandfather was standing right next to me I could see him clear as a bell but could not hear a thing...lol finally I just put the pen on the paper and asked my guides to let me know,,,they did and that is how he communicated to her.

When we look for the signs we see them if we are not looking chances are good we will miss them. :) <3

Gracie obviously you sense and see them so they know this and are attracted to you..try the automatic writing see if it helps sometimes the 'tools of the trade' help to take the brunt off of you.
But make sure they know their boundaries so they don;t drain you! :)

Here's a recent experience I have to share. Two weeks ago, my sister's father-in-law passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was a kindly man whom I Had known through my sister for over twenty years. The night after he died, he appeared in my bedroom as a young man in board shorts on the beach. He appeared to be holding something in his hand and was half facing away from me. As I sat up in bed, he looked over his shoulder and smiled at me acknowledging that he knew that I had seen him and then promptly faded. A few minutes passed and I settled back in bed when the noise of a door shutting caught my attention right beside my bed where there is no door. It was so loud, even the dogs sleeping on my bed woke up and barked at it.

Two days later, my sister came to visit and told me of her father-in-law's passing. Up until then I was clueless as to the identity of the apparition and the meaning of the slamming door. It was then I realised that it was him coming to say goodbye and let me know - before being told - that he had passed.

Further validation came today when I was talking to my mother who attended the funeral service. She mentioned the slide show of his life with photos of him from various times in his life. I told her about his visit to me and after hearing me describe how he looked she said, "yes, that was one of the photos of him taken while fishing with his children." I just smiled.

It all made sense at last. I love when these things come full circle and totally validate what I know to be true in my heart - that life is eternal and that death is a doorway to another existence (as my sister's father-in-law so bluntly illustrated by slamming the door on his way out of this world to the next)
